Humbug Fishing Charters Darwin, Northern Territory!

Humbug Fishing runs liveaboard and tag-along fishing charters out of Darwin aboard Starfire, a 24-metre catamaran mothership. Charters reach Daly River, Moyle, Shady Camp, Tiwi Islands, and the Kimberley, targeting barra, reef, and pelagic species, for groups of up to 8 or 12 across a minimum of 5 days.

Remote water. No boat ramp queues. No 4pm curfew. You live on the water for the length of your charter, fishing the tides that matter instead of the ones that fit around a shore-based schedule. Our team plans the trip around your group, your dates, and what you want to catch.

Extended Live Aboard Fishing Charters

Live aboard Starfire for the length of your trip. Groups of up to 8 or 12, minimum 5 days away.

What our customers say..

Waking up after a comfortable air conditioned sleep to bacon eggs and coffee on Brute force, miles from civilisation on a remote river is something all fishos should experience for themselves. It is the only way to fish. stunning coastal scenery amazing sunsets and plenty of wildlife spotting keeps your head on a swivel. This was our 3rd trip with Scotty and this time we started in the Anson bay coastal creeks and finished in the Moil. Barra for everyone everyday and some trophy fish included. Had some great sessions on Reefies and pelagics as well. Scotty is a keen fisho and works hard to make sure you get what you came for. No reservations in recommending Humbug fishing.

I’ve done many humbug trips now, from short trips to extended trips and I have seen the most amazing sights and I have experienced things that you would never ever dream of. Entering creeks that look like man has never been before. Stepping off the boat onto the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. The scenery is amazing. Saving a 4 metre croc that was tangled in a bouy rope was pretty spectacular, unwinding the rope from its front leg with a lure retriever pole was a bit scary but something I’ll never forget. Not too mention the quality and quantity of many different fish species, we never come home without a catch that’s cooked that evening for dinner which is just superb. If you like mud crab you can set the pots and return later to find your evening feast. Scott and the crew are fantastic, easy to get along with and have all the knowledge and experience you would expect Whilst on a guided trip. Mother ship and tender boats are fantastic, plenty of living and fishing space for all to enjoy. I’ll be returning for another trip with out a doubt

Spent an awesome five days on a Humbug Fishing liveaboard Charter at the Daly River Mouth. Scott is a really easy to get along with bloke and loves his fishing, we got on to some great fishing of all varieties from barra to pelagics. Did some miles but worth it for the results. The scenery is fantastic in that part of the world. Highly recommend Humbug Fishing to anyone looking for great fishing adventure.

The mothership is spacious and comfortable, having a fully air conditioned bunk house and a bar type set up on the back deck. The tender boats are fantastic to fish out of – fishing 5 people very easily. The trip is catered for each particular group – being barra or bluewater fishing. Or a bit of both. We always catch many, many fish.

I’m on my way up to the Top End again next week after two trips with Humbug last year and yearly since 2010. Home away from home for me! Scott, Lorna and their crew certainly know to host a trip that keeps me coming back. This voyage I’m heading out on the mother ship, Brute Force, to fish the Coburg Peninsula and surrounding waters – a trip that has been tailor made for me by Scott using his vase knowledge of the area and my need/want/addiction for catching Barramundi and Pelagic fish.”
